Jiang Yu
President, CEO & Founder LunarNYC

Mr. Yu is the founder of Lunar New Year Celebration™ (LunarNYC) and has dedicated his life to uniting all Asians and those who love the culture under one Global Brand. From a dream, his mission aims at empowering Youth while promoting Diversity, Love, Unity, Peace and Prosperity. Mr. Yu’s unconventional and unlikely journey from humble beginnings as a “sweatshop baby” to eventually becoming an entrepreneur brings strong work ethics and an appreciation to “Pay it Forward”.

He is a self taught and private self investor, his passion for international business has helped him develop key, strategic and valuable relationships throughout the world. Previously, Mr. Yu worked as an analyst part of the Corporate & Investment Banking Division at a Premier Wall St. Investment Bank in New York.

Mr. Yu continued his studies at Columbia University & New York University. He holds a BA in Psychology from City College of New York and has taken specialty courses in various New York City Colleges. He often helps mentor college students and new graduates. Aside from being a real estate enthusiast, active Philanthropist, Mr. Yu spends most of his time with his family and resides in Manhattan, New York City. He is responsible for all of LunarNYC’s executive decisions, executive level talks and the growth into a Global Brand for Asians across the world.


Felicia W. Guo
Director of Media Relations & Affairs

Felicia W. Guo is an accomplished and award winning Reporter. Her credentials go on and on in the Asian and United States media news circuits. Ms. Guo currently owns her own successful media strategy company. where she assist private and public companies.

Ms. Guo was previously a reporter and journalist for some of the largest Chinese newspaper and media outlets in the New York City area. She is currently also an editor in chief for the business and lifestyle column of a major New York City news outlet. She has over a decade of experience in media strategy and marketing.

Ms. Guo holds a MBA Degree from Lawrence Technological University in Michigan. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Media Marketing from Sichuan University in China. Ms. Guo is responsible for all of LunarNYC’s media and news strategies.

john lin

John Lin
Director of Chinese
Community Affairs

John Lin currently is a Licensed Customs House Broker. Mr. Lin started his experience in export/import early on with Nike Inc., American Asia Express, Dachser USA and Amana Express International Inc. He held various positions in his career while slowly growing his vast knowledge of logistics on a global and international level.

Mr. Lin currently runs his own plastic commodities company along with other China based commodity products. He has a passion for brokering deals and defines, “East Meets West” business model. Besides having a passion for real estate, Mr. Lin currently invest his own capital into start-ups that he plans to bring back to the East. He also manages his own family office fund from China and has extensive connections to Eastern Markets.

Mr. Lin graduated in a 2008 from Queens College in New York City, with a B.A. degree in Accounting Information Systems and Economics. Mr. Lin is responsible for all of LunarNYC’s Chinese Community Affairs.


Ryan Su
Director of Military
& Veterans Affairs

Ryan Su has built his career in law enforcement and the military. His unique story from focusing on defending others have brought him into his own career in leadership. Mr. Su started his career off as a Patrol Officer in New York, he then worked at the U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Denver, Colorado, and finished his deployment to Fort Carson as a 11B Infantryman for the U.S Army, where he developed and led training programs in preparation for combat.

Mr. Su currently runs his own licensed energy drinks company that has a worldwide presence. His focus is to bring his products to veteran associations by employing them and giving veterans another paths for success. He also focuses his tie on building a, “East Meets West” business model and has extensive connections in Asia.

Mr. Su attended DeVry University in New York City, with a focus on Business Management and Business Psychology. Mr. Su is responsible for all of LunarNYC’s military and veteran affairs.

Steven Wong
Managing Director of

Steven is an experienced entrepreneur that runs a multi-million dollar E-Commerce business that he help found during his undergraduate years. After receiving a Bachelors degree in Finance and Investments from the City University of New York-Baruch College, he was able to explore other opportunities. His knowledge of international business, primarily in Asia, adds great value to LunarNYC. He is skilled in identifying customer needs and how they can be addressed in a profitable way for both the client and company.

He is also experienced in marketing, specifically social media marketing, online marketing, advertising, marketing strategies, and digital marketing. He has many other qualifications including: social and digital media, web analytics, new business development, management, and search engine optimization.

Steven is proficient as a native speaker of English and has a rudimentary understanding of Chinese. When he is not working, he enjoys many interests, which include: gadgets, digital photography, traveling, weight lifting, and music. He also enjoys investing and keeping an eye on those investments.

Shawn Nagpal
Director of India Relations

Born in Punjab, India, Shawn Nagpal came to New York at a young age. Currently a successful entrepreneur in the Hospitality & Philanthropy Industries, Shawn has been honored to have been featured in the likes of Forbes Magazine (Under 30 Summit), Entrepreneur.com (GrowthCon), & The New York Times.

A Graduate of Iona College, Hagan School of Business, his International Business & Finance background adds a valuable arm to LunarNYC- especially in South Asia. Out of college, Shawn worked as the Finance Manager for BMW North America, overseeing locations in Westchester, NY & Greenwich, CT. His passion for philanthropy started when he noticed a severely under served South Asian community which needed the guidance and support of other successful, young individuals. Using his background as a restaurateur, he has been able to bring together conferences of the next crop of game-changers over the comfort of Food & Wine. As Shawn puts it, “motivating others to achieve their dreams, is the reason I exist- and being there to see them accomplish their goals, is my ultimate achievement”

Aside from his passion for business, Shawn is immersed in the South Asian culture away from the office. A native speaker of Hindi, Punjabi, & English, he is also fluent in French. When he is not working, he enjoys time with his family, dining out at the latest restaurants, and enjoying all of the unique culture NYC has to offer.


Perry Boon
Kids Program Manager

Perry Boon has managed multiple retail locations in the New York City area. With this experience he was able to develop impeccable customer service skills and sharpened his small business focus, which gave him the ability to teach and supervise new employees.

Following his term as manager, Mr. Boon later accepted a position as the Marketing and Communications Specialist at a growing online food ordering company founded in Brooklyn. Here he was able to further develop his marketing and advertisement expertise where he implemented promotional techniques with SEO and social media skills. He was entrusted with creating and researching business analytics through communication with merchants and customers.

As of recent, Perry has managed a whole non-profit program for kids between the ages of 12-16 years old. Perry attended Brooklyn College, where he earned his BA in Marketing. Perry is also a sports enthusiast and a proud member of Nu Alpha Phi, where he is an active member in working with philanthropic associations in the New York City area.


Danny Abramov
Grants Manager Financial Analyst

Danny Abramov is a 2014 graduate from Baruch College in New York, with a BBA degree in Finance. Danny started his experience in the real estate market, working in a New York mortgage firm as a financial underwriter, gaining experience in both refinancing and sales.

Besides real estate, Danny has strong passion for the research, and has started working with LunarNYC as a Grants Analyst. Danny’s passion comes from the fact that if you help other, good things will come back to you at more multiples.

Danny places emphasis on understanding how big banks and corporate companies fund organizations like LunarNYC. He prepares and answers all high level talks with Grant preparation.


Derrick Leon
Public Relations Analyst

Derrick graduated from the University of Buffalo with a BA in Communications. His interest in innovation put him in charge of the creative production and online marketing for Wicked Fashions, Inc. He was responsible for the national ad campaigns for their top brands, Southpole and Lot29, he spearheaded all pre-production for photo shoots.

He also focused on the business analysis from concept, staffing as well as being instrumental in the launching of a mass market label and several mezzanine tiered labels. He was tasked with creating an online presence and identity for each brand. Derrick also assisted in obtaining sponsorship opportunities with partners like the New York Mets and bidding for the naming rights to IZOD Centre (former home of The Nets)

Transitioning from a fashion based business perspective to more of a financial world, Mr. Leon realized how every aspect of life and pieces of news somehow affects the world. He found investing a brand new challenge and an intriguing process that hopes to spur continued innovation.

Titus Chung
Director of Grants

A lifetime New Yorker and raised in Brooklyn, Mr. Chung has over 15 years of experience in the non-profit industry ranging from home care to social services. His experience with the financial and operations management side of NPOs has given him a wealth of knowledge.

He was instrumental in drafting, budgeting, securing grants and contracts through various proposals or totaling $7.7 million dollars. In his previous roles, Mr. Chung has established key relationships with high level executives from various state and city contracting agencies that focus on mental health and children services.

His educational background from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City will help add  value to LunarNYC as it becomes one of the leading organizations in the Non-Profit Public Administration sector. Mr. Chung is also the founder and co- owner of ExquisiteNY, LLC, a entertainment and events consulting company in the Asian American community.


Katie Kyros
Media Analyst

Knowing her dream of working in the news media sector, Katie started her media career while attending the University of Michigan. Katie first got her start in journalism as the editor of her high school newspaper in Montgomery County and then later as an intern for WTTG-Fox 5. She also spent two years reporting and anchoring at WHAG-TV in Hagerstown, Maryland where she began covering central Pennsylvania, as well as Maryland and West Virginia.

Ms. Kyros graduated from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a BA in English and Political Science. She continued her advanced studies at the University of Southern California with a Masters of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. During her spare time, Katie has a younger sister with autism and she’s one of the lights in her life. She is a supporter of Autism Speaks, special needs issues are very close to Katie’s heart and she is always happy to talk about it.
