Late Tuesday night, delegates from 34 Asian and African countries have all responded well to Indonesia’s proposal to set up a business council to boost economic ties between the two continents. The proposal has represented the ongoing relationship with private companies in Africa and Asia.
In the closing of the Asian-African Business Summit all the representatives agreed that forming the Asian-African Business Council (AABC) will be key in the future transactions. The secretariat of the formation will be located in Indonesia and the co-secretariat will be located in South Africa. As mentioned in prior summits the council will meet once a year in an Asian or African country on a rotating basis which the focus will be on new business opportunities between both continents. Look for more trade and or business in general between both sides in the imminent future.
