A three day long heat wave affecting the city Karachi in Pakistan has killed over 300 people. The ministry reported that there are over 2,000 people in Jinnah hospital being treated for heat stroke. The Sindh provincial government has declared a state of emergency. Since it is Ramadan, Muslims are fasting from sunup until sundown. Karachi is also facing frequent power outages as electricity grids can’t keep up with the demand in the city.
Will this heat stroke roll over before more people suffer?
